what is the latest Microsoft SQL Server Native Client VMware support

Do anyone know what is the latest version of Microsoft SQL Server Native Client VMware currently support for both their VirtualCenter Database and Update Manager Database? We have been using the one dated back to 2005 for our SQL 2005 server, and I think it may be time to do some upgrade. Also we are in the process of rebuilding our Update Manager server with faster H/w (thus need to install the native client) Just want to make sure we are align with what VMware support

I would stick with the 2005 native client. Other than the new 2008 client, which I would only use if running 2008, which is not supported. We have been using the 2005 for our vCenter Server DB, which is 2005 and same for VUM.

Stick with what you know works.....

I did understand your question. I couldn't find any mention of what SQL Native Driver was supported, so I would assume you would be ok with any 2005 version.
