Are you trying to connect from the vCenter host itself?  Have you checked the vCenter logs?

Can you check if you're DB services are running and that connection of the DSN used to connect to vCenter DB is working.

Also, do you see any errors or possible pointers in the vpxd logs:

vCenter Server 2.5-5.0 on Windows XP, 2000, 2003: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\Logs\

vCenter Server 2.5-5.0 on Windows Vista, 7, 2008: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\Logs\

I meant the service logs on windows, the path was just given.  Those will have details as to the state of the service.

vCenter uses ODBC to connect to the SQL database.  You can verify that your db is still working correctly using the data sources, and make sure db connects successfully.

Also, the vpxd.log will tell you if there are db problems, and should have further details as to the connection problem you are having.

From your logs 'VIM_VCDB' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full

You'll need to make room for your vCenter database, and restart vCenter.

incase you're not able to increase the DB size, may want to check the below article for purging the old data:

Now I can able to logon through vCenter , all is well looks like , just would like to confirm & clear in few points.

I've clear few event in my database through this link :

http://www.petenetlive.com/KB/Article/0000479.htm

Now my MS-SQL database Properties looks like this in attacement.

Database:

Size                    4554.01 MB

SpaceAvailable     3561.64 MB

MSSQL-database report is also in attachement.

What does it means , is it means my vsphere vCenter will run till "space available" comes 4-5 MB ??

I just would like to make sure that I've enough available size for my DB to run for 7-8 month, it have only 3 ESX attached.

SQL Server 2005 Exress has a 4 GB filesize limit, which is probably what happened to you.  Right now, since you've cleared out the space, your report shows you're using 415 MB of that 4 GB limit.

You can typically go longer, provided you have your database retention of events turned down from default, we keep ours for 1 month.  And you set your statistics collection level to a low number as well.  With those options set, your db can stay below that limit for quite some time.
