vmware tools on fedora 8

hello,

i am using ESX 3.5 server + vc 2.5 (with all the latest patches..) .

i installed vmware tools on the fedora via cmd (rpm package) ,but from the vc at the "summary" field i see "vmware tools : not installed" even that i

installed the tools ,can someone explain to me how can i install the tools and to verify that the tools are working ??

hi,

thank you for your fast reply,

but i already installed the vmware tools and i even can see them at the add remove programs ,my main issue is how can i verify that they are working ,and why at the vc the status of the vmware tools is not installed...?

Have you started vmware-toolbox as mentioned in the article?
