Hi, I got both of vmware-ccagent and VMware-vpxa running on ESX Server 2.5.2.
Some other ESXs are running without ccagent, only vpxa.
I believe vpxa is nessesaraly, so is it not problem to uninstall ccagent?
Don't we have any document describing each services?
Thanx
ccagent is the VC management agent for ESX 2.x servers connected to VC 1.x, when you connect a ESX 2.x server to VC 2.x it installs the vmware-vpxa agent. What version are your other ESX servers, I think ccagent was only used on certain versions of 2.5.x

Eric, thank you for your reply.
All the servers are 2.5.2.
If the servers are connected to VC2 x then only vpxa is needed?
Thanks
ccagent is needed on all ESX 2.x hosts. vpxa connects to it to manage the host and vms on it.
Starting with 2.5.2 serverd replaced ccagent.
