We utilize our ESXi environment primarily for linked clone VDI. In our vCenters, we have VMKernel virtual adapters setup for Management, vMotion, and vSan. We didn't realize i previously, but, a service exists for creating one for Provisioning as well. We discovered that here:

Provisioning traffic - Handles the data that is transferred for virtual machine cold migration, cloning, and snapshot migration.
So, my first question would be, are we doing it completely the wrong way currently, and losing all sorts of benefits, or is it really moot?
My second question: does recompose traffic utilize the vMotion kernel as well as vSan? Does recompose traffic utlize anything it can I suppose is he real question.
