vm mac address

I have migrated around 40 virtual machines from one virtual center to new virtual center along esxi host.

now i am having a duplicate MAC address problem. some times my old vcenter takes a MAC address from a new vcenter.

how this can happen and how to stop it.

any other way instead of changing the MAC address of virtual machines attached with my new virtual center.

Thanks

Hi,

when using multiple vCenter servers make sure to set unique IDs on each vCenter. This way they won't use the same MAC Address range.

This will only help for newly created VMs though. I'm afraid you have to change the MACs of your existing VMs or delete their network adapters and create new ones.
