vcenter installation

i was tryng to install vcenter but i keep facing this error "The installer is unable to connect to the vcenter appliance management interface"

Hi beckysolomon​,

The error you are getting is because the installer cannot communicate to the IP address to contibue with the Stage 2.

Kindly check if you can ping the newly deployed VCSA. Fix the networking issue and start the installation from Stage2 by going to https://VCSAIP:5480

the adress is not responding what is the network problem i can't understand it please.it actually ping the vcenter ip address

Hi,

The VCSA deployment procedure depends heavily on the availability of the DNS infrastructure and a DNS record must be created before proceeding with the installation.

The problem occurs at Stage 1 of the installation procedure and the error can occur for two main reasons:

  • lack of A DNS and DNS PTR records for the VCSA
  • incorrect VLAN Network or IP address of the Default gateway
