vcenter database versions

I was checking the compatibility matrix for vcenter and it said that the vcenter 4 will support SQL2008 64bit but the update database will not, it supports SQL2005. I assume I would need 2 seperate databases for this? I was hoping to install a new vCenter server runnning on 2008 64bit server as well as SQL2008 64bit. Does anyone have everything running on SQL2008 64bit?
