I have to make a small infrastructure:
n.2 vmware ESX vsphere 4.0
n.1 Storage iSCSI
n.1 vcenter server.
Can i use vcenter server together vmware data recovery? I have another storage iscsi to do backups.
best regards.
Yes, vSphere vCenter 4.0 is a requirement for vDR and will be required. Take a look at the comparison chart of the various editions:
Essential plus looks like the way to go or you can use advanced or greater if you need other features.
You can also purchase vDR separately as an a la carte item, take a look at how to buy for vDR: http://www.vmware.com/products/data-recovery/buy.html

"VMware vSphere 4 Essentials Plus" in my case should be the right one.
Hi All,
From: http://www.vmware.com/products/vsphere/buy/editions_comparison.html does that mean, in order to do backup and resotration using VCB i need to go with at least Essentials Plus ?
