vcenter 2.5 u2 reporting incorrect storage details displayed in VI client.

Hello all,

I have vc2.5 u2 and esx3.5 u5. when the vi is connected to the vc the details displayed for the esx server in the storage details section is not correct. If i connect VI to the esx server directly i get the correct information.

For instance the HBA that the is aganst a LUN had the wrong adaptor number and reports an incorrect total storage.

Any clues?

Hello.

vCenter 2.5 U4 has a "[Storage Information Displayed for ESX Server that Access Shared LUNs Is Now Accurate|http://www.vmware.com/support/vi3/doc/vi3_vc25u4_rel_notes.html#resolvedissues]" fix that might solve this. Although your setup is supported, if you are running ESX 3.5 U5, then it would really be best to have vCenter at U5 as well.

Great thanks for that. I had a feeling that updating vc would do it but didn't havve the exact kb. Problem is we use sun srs vdi (btw is the worst vdi software I have Eva seen) and it doesn't work with vc after update 2.
