vSphere administrator(local) permission issue, deploying new VM - no permissions to assign network

Hi all!

I'm running in to a strange issue with two hosts and vSphere 6.7.0.

When I try to create a new VM by choosing "create a new virtual machine', I'm not able to select a network.
I'm not using a template of some sort.

On the tab "customize hardware" the option "New network", field stays empty.

It prompts "You do not have permissions to assign this network".
When I click browse there is nothing to select.

The existing machines do not have any issues and are connected to the VM Network just fine.

If I check the permissions the local administrator does have network permissions and Admin permissions overall.

Any an idea?

Much appreciated!

Best regards,

Tim

Some sort, I've installed a new vCenter Appliance on which I've created new VM Networks (we don't use a distributed switch).

After creating the new VM Networks I've migrated the old networks (that are shown in the new appliance) to the newley created networks.

That solved it for me.

It would probably be enough to create new VM Network and migrate them from old to new in vCenter.

Best regards,

Tim
