vSphere Web Client Server install

I would like to setup Web Client Server.  Is it ok to install Web Client Server on the same server as vCenter?? Any negative effects of having both installed on the same server?

Resources sharing and port conflict are some of the concerns. But you should know how to tweak it..

I did this and have not seen any downfalls....  I'd go for it, by default the web client runs on a different port anyways...

I documented my thoughts and config below

Thanks.  I ended up installing the web client server on my vCenter server and everything seems to be fine. I did find this guide on how to use the vCenter Virtual Appliance strictly as the web client server and not as a vCenter server.

If that works for all of you who have already tried it, I think it is the right time to do the same.

Hi mwpreston

Its very intersting and sounds good .In this way only we can reduce the cost for operation .  If we have any server not utilising more resource then we should implement those application in single vm.
