vSphere - Uptime in vSphere portal not matching uptime on VM

When I log into vSphere portal and look at my VMs, the uptime will reflect a different time than what it is showing on the VM when I remote into it.  I will restart the machine and then refresh the vSphere portal, but will not update.  I have verified that VMtools is running on these VMs and is showing as current under version.  I searched online and did find the link below, but not clear if this needs to be ran every time (which is not feasible for me) and/or if this will fix my issue? The Guest OS will vary (Server 2019, 16 & 12).  We do have a few 2008 R2s, but they are going away.

Monitoring software shows incorrect system uptime for Windows 2008 R2 or later on hardware version 10 (2082042) (vmware.com)
