vSphere 6 Web client display scale

Hi,

in the vSphere 6 Web client, the visual size of text and icons appears uncomfortably small, the smaller text in the lower panes even approaching 1mm in height on a 22in display. This seems not to be a display-specific problem, as i can drag the browser window onto the other display of my setup, with different pixel resolution and windows scaling, with no discernible scale difference in the too small elements in the web client.

Is there any configuration where i could influence this, to at least double the microscopic fonts and icons size?

In the aptly named webclient.properties file of vCenter Server, no appropriate option was readily identifiable, so i surmised it's either not yet used or not implemented there.

What gives?

You don't happen to mistakenly have your browser zoomed "out" do you?

Hi,

nope.

The browser zoom control was the very first thing i reached for, but that Flash UI (and its elements' size) wasn't interested in the slightest to obey my wishes. The UI elements' placement - i.e. their distance from each other - depends on the browser window size, though.

Meanwhile, because of trouble getting mouse and keyboard input into the virtual consoles of the web client, i downloaded and installed the remote console VMRC for Windows - which renders to the same minuscule scale as the web client.

Oh well.
