vMware vCenter unable to get health status

Hello.

This is the message I get under the Plug-in manager

I have (vCenter 5.0.0 755629)

vCenter Service Status
VMware, Inc.
5.0
Disabled
Displays the health status
of vCenter services
The following error occured while downloading the
script plugin from https://192.168.1.1:8443/health-
ui/scriptConfig.xml:
The request failed because of a connection failure.
(Unable to connect to the remote server)

I can access the ESXi directly and I can view the health status.

THe Webservices are working as well.

UPDATE:

I have noticed that when I try to search it comes back with an error:

Unable to connect to web services to perform quiery.

The url is https://WIN-384892843:10443

If I try https://192.168.1.1:10443/ which is the ip of the vCenter. I get "unable to connect"

Please can someone help.

Thank you

If this is an upgrade, you might want to check out http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2007824

Hello vmroyale

It is not an upgrade. It was a fresh install. The only thing I did was change the computer name after installing vCenter.

Any help is welcomed.

Thank you

I would think it definitely has something to do with the name change. See if http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1010641 helps. It is specifically for v4 of vCenter, but it may still help identify the problem.

Hello vmroyale

I will give it a try later today. It does show the OLD computer name when doing a search and I am sure that this is also causing an issue with the hetlh status as it requiers the vCenter Web Services to be working.

Thank you and I will keep you updated.
