I have two hosts running 6.7.0 (10764712) and a VCSA 6.7.0.20000 VM
When we try to Migrate a VM using the 'Change compute resource only' migration type, the only destination host available is the host that the VM currently resides on. When we select 'Change both compute resource and storage', the second host is available and the migration works.
I came across the thread below with other users experiencing the same issue. There seems to be a few workarounds, but none worked for me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hello, Please check the below things
One thing to verify if VM is residing on shared storage.
Second thing : Check for CD/DVD drives
Third: Do you have a dedicated/local location for swap files ?
thanks,
MS

This, I have my VM's on the local datastore. Deployed a VM on shared storage to ensure this was the issue and I was able to migrate with 'Change Compute Resource Only'.
And of course I came across the KB Article below as soon as I posted my question. Thanks for the quick response!
Hi guys,
I had the same issue , resolved it by having shared storage
In my lab i had ESXi-1 and ESXi-2 , both hosts had access to NFS Storage.
When trying to migrate , both the hosts are now visible
