ESX 3.0.1 can be managed by vCenter 2.0, while ESX 3.0.2 - by vCenter 2.0.1 P2 (not supported already). Also it reauires patches on ESX. See artlcle for ESX 3.0.1 and ESX 3.0.2 and this too
