If you have a HA Cluster, the vcenter would be in case of hardware failure started up on another host!

Yes you can use vmotion.

Hardwarefailure on your ESX host?

If vcente wnt down you have a grace period of 14 day, HA and DRS if you have will still work!

Hardware failure i mean that the server closes and so the vcenter server.

the HA would open the vcenter on the new host even if the vcenter is down?
