vCenter difference

Is there any difference between VI 3. and vSphere with regards to vCenter server

any useful document regarding this difference might be useful..

Note that new vCenter will require more resources (3 GB RAM instead of 2GB) and now can works on x64 platform (and probably in the future only on this) and on Windows Server 2008.
