vCenter debug mode/commands

Is there a method/procedure to put the vCenter server into debug mode? I am trying to understand how the Perl API accesses the low level info sent in between vCenter and vSphere client. Our main goal is to be able to recreate this low level data to control the vSphere client for automation purposes. Thanks for the help!

There is no debug mode I am aware of, however you can increase the logs to trivia level which would report an insane level of activity as to what the process does.
