My vCenter database is keep growing at the rapid pace. I have my database retention policy as 60 days,
It is vCenter 4.1 and all the maintenance job running just fine, but I am concerned about the growth.

What are your Statistics interval set to? You can check this under vCenter Server Settings > Statistics.
all the Statistics interval is set to 1.
your are running a recovery Model of Simple?
How big is your DB growing, how much does it grow each day/week? How many hosts/VMs are you running?
I found tempdb is 9.0GB located under C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA
how can i shrink it?
