vCenter Upgrade 6.7 to 7

Hi Ed I am new to this community I hope I am on the correct forum for this question. I have my VM  environment on my VMware Workstation. My Vcenter is its own VM on workstation . I am trying to upgrade to 7 , but in the wizard it request for "ESXi host or vCenter Server that manages the source appliance"  That would be my Vcenter that is not on any ESXi host I created the appliance on a VM on my VM workstation,  The Download installer logon error is "Unable to find the source appliance on the specified ESXi host or vCenter Server" Can anyone please assist

Hi

I don't think it is possible to upgrade a VCSA that is deployed to VMware Workstation as when doing the upgrade it creates a new VM and then copies the configuration from the existing appliance this is why it needs access to ESXi or vCenter.

Most likely if you want to keep it on VMware Workstation and go to the latest version you would have deploy a new appliance and manually setup again.
