vCenter Server Virtual Appliance and Update Manager

Hi,

Anyone with experience in this? Documentation says it's not possible to install Update Manager on a VCSA but that you could install Update Manager on a Windows Machine and point it towards the VCSA.

Did anybody try it? Does it work as adviced by VMware?

Thanks in advance!

As petkom says ...

That works, have it installed for some customers like that, no problem.

yeb, that's should work. VUM should be installed on a windows machine and specify the VCSA IP and credentials

Ok guys! Thank you both!!!

I'm also trying to do it myself in my lab but while deploying the new machines...I thought in asking to the community Smiley Happy

I know now that I'm going in the right direction and if any error occurs during my tests, it's me and not the solution as you both agreed it works! Smiley Happy

Thanks again,
