vCenter Server Appliance (vcsa) Services enable/disable

Hello,

I'm thinking about using only the sso and web components of the vcsa, especially in upgrade scenarios. Is there a way to permanently disable all unused services (vCenter, Inventory, Dump Collector, Syslog etc.) to keep the footprint as low as possible and to avoid having an unused vCenter in sso?

Thanx

Hey Leo,

VPXD and other services will stay unconfigured unless you configure them. You can verify the same either from the logs or logging into the appliance using SSH/PUTTY and running the following command

service vmware-vpxd status

This will show whether the VC service (vpxd) is started or not
