Hi All,
We need to reboot vCenter Server 5.5 and it is running on a physical server and also hosting SQL DB on the same physical server.
Please let us know what are the precautionary measures to be taken before rebooting the vCenter server.
Regards,
Ajay
You can reboot vCenter server as you do any other server system.
Once server comes online. verify that SQL services, vCenter services all are running.
Since you are running SQL locally, then it would be good to set Delayed start for vCenter server service and vCenter management services.
So that SQL service start first and then vCenter services.
as usual you may take backup of SQL DB or windows system state backup but this is not a pre-requisite for vCenter reboot.
