looking at your logs you seem to have this error:

MSI (s) (50:D0) [17:22:49:916]: Product: VMware vSphere Profile-Driven Storage -- Installation operation failed.

see this:

http://communities.vmware.com/message/2113876

you also have this:

The call to SRSetRestorePoint API failed. Returned status: 0. GetLastError() returned: 127

Try this:

aspnet_regiis -ir -enable

Regarding this one http://communities.vmware.com/message/2113876

It said to install the .NET 4, I use the windows server 2012. The .NET 4 is already built it and installed... Only .NET 2 and 3.5 need to install manually only...

Btw, Nice blog you have. I bookmark it.

Windows Server 2012 is not supported by VMware for vCenter ... The highest version supported is Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.

Still not supported on Windows 2012 ... People have tried installing it, but it isn't officially supported by VMware.

Dear all,

I have the exactly the same problem installing the VMware vCenter 5.1.0b on Microsoft Windows 2012 either upgrade from ver 5.0 or fresh install. I was search around Google and VMware portal but I do not see any official document or website talked about vCenter 5.1.0x does not support Microsoft Windows 2012.

Any I have no issue on vCenter 5.0 running on Windows 2012 and vCenter 5.1.0b on Windows 2008 R2.

Any feedback are welcome

Thanks for your reply but I guess this may not up to date because it does not stated VMware vCenter 5.1.x.
