Hi All,
I´m searching a counter inside of database that vcenter use to save all informations.
I´ll use this counter to monitore a threshold of vcpu ready time, to do it i´ve two options:
1- Create alarm in vcenter (but i believe that vcenter cant see this parameter to monitoring and trigger this alarm)
2 - point a counter of %rdy of vcpu to my software of monitoring.
I found one guide about this, but dont have %rdy(http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vc_dbviews_40.pdf ) i´m using vcenter 4.1
Someone can help ?
Thanks
Hi Mauro,
I didn't try this myself yet, but http://www.vkernel.com/reader/items/configuring-cpu-ready-alarms-vcenter may describe exactly what you are looking for.

Per Andre's link, I've been trying to find better ways to do this in vCenter, but there's not really an ideal option yet. Your best bet would be to leverage the API or use a third-party tool that leverages the API. If in your quest you find additional answers, please let me know. CPU Ready catches too many people off guard.
Thank you A.p for reply. I´ll try configure and test.
With API you don´t need point a parameter specific of %Rdy ???
