vCenter DB registry key empty.

Friends,

I was going through some articles and posts which talks about HKLM/Software/VMware Inc/VMware vCenter/DB/2 and 3 REG_SZ values, which relates to the Username and Password that is used by DSN.

I am using SQL 2005 Ent SP2, and vCenter is installed on same server, If I check the registy these keys are Blank!!.. nothing is mentioned..

is this the case normally?

What I feel is, there should be atleast username mentioned. Right?

Thanks for your time.

I checked our vCenter servers and the 2 and 3 values are empty too. The vCenter servers are running fine. So I wouldn't wurry.

Regards, Robert

We use "Windows NT authentication" for our vCenter database. That is probably the reason that the registry values are empty. We can check the username and change the username and password on the "Log On" tab of the "VMware VirtualCenter Server" service properties at the vCenter Server.
