vCenter Alarms

HI ... I am trying to setup an Event Trigger "Lost Network Redundancy". But I don't want it to notify me for every little (few seconds) network hiccup. How can I add logic to say wait 5 minutes and if still the link is down then notify me ? I don't see anything available thro' GUI/natively. Any scripts or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello.

I'm not 100% sure, but I was just reading about vSphere Alarm Triggers over at Simon Long's site, and there may be something in there that you could use.

Good Luck!

Thanks vmroyale. I added more notes in http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-12145. We all need alarming for Serious work (not Fun or More Fun)! I see no point in VMware adding more and more events and conditions and etc. when they cannot be effectively and systematically triggered!
