vCenter Administrators access removed

Hi,

This morning I found out that the Administrators (local admin group) was removed from vCenter at Datacenter level. Since, it was the only group set to access vCenter, access to the enviroment has been blocked to all of us.

I'm wondering if there's a way to restore access to the Administrators group

Hi,

I can't imagine how that can happen but there's a way to regain access:

Go to your vCenter Server SQL Server and open the VPX_ACCESS table.

Add a row:

ID 1

PRINCIPAL <GROUPNAME/USER/AD-GROUP>

ROLE_ID -1

ENTITY_ID 1

FLAG 3

Restart the vCenter Server Service and you are able to login again.
