vCenter - Ability to create custom Scheduled Tasks / VMware Tools job?

Just migrated to Update 4 on all ESX hosts and vCenter and now I'm in the situation where I need to upgrade all hosts with the updated VMware Tools.

I've tried several methods for automating this in the past and always given up and connected up out of hours to perfom the upgrades.

With Update 4 I was kind of hoping that VMware may have included this simple step as a Scheduled Task so we can at least schedule out of hours without sever reboots being an issue.

Failing that I thought they'd be the ability to create your own scheduled task (not that I'd know the syntax)

Hopefully I'm wrong and this is covered.....any ideas?

Many thanks

Here's a great article by Hal Rottenberg regarding installation of VMware Tools w/o rebooting: http://halr9000.com/article/642

You could also use Powershell to schedule a job on Windows: http://communities.vmware.com/message/913994#913994
