vCenter 5 managing 4.1 hosts - Sanity Check?

I know upgrading vCenter is the first step in upgrading our environment from 4.1 to 5.0, but can I check/confirm that there are no time limitations or other restrictions on how long I can run 4.1 hosts for under my 5.0 vCenter server once I've upgraded it please?

Hi,

please check http://partnerweb.vmware.com/comp_guide2/sim/interop_matrix.php? for product interoperability.

You'll see that vCenter 5 and 5 U1. can not manage ESXi 4.1. Only 4.1 U1 and U2.

If you are running versions that are shown as ok in that matrix, you have no other restrictions.

Regards
