vCenter 5.5 Virtual Appliance and SSL Certificate(s)

I currently have vCenter 5.5 running on Windows 2008 R2.  I've been thinking about replacing my Windows vCenter with the virtual appliance vCenter.

I've been reading the documentation on SSL certs for vCenter.  On my current vCenter server I purchased one SSL cert from RapidSSL.  It seems everything is working correctly, but the documentation I'm reading says I need a different cert for the different services like Inventory Service, Log Browser, and AutoDeploy.

Does vCenter really require that many different certs?

Yes, each vCenter server component requires unique SSL certificate ::

On my current Windows vCenter 5.5 Server I have just one SSL Cert and everything seems to be working.  I've only had the one cert on my vCenter server for the last 5-6 years since I didn't realize each service needed it's own cert.
