vCenter 5.1 does not see Host CPU Host Mem or Guest Mem on 4.0 hosts

Pretty much in the title.

vCenter was upgraded back in September or so to 5.1, and there are mixed clusters running: 4.0 esx, 5.0 U1, and 5.1.

On the 4.0 ESX hosts, we do not see the CPU/Host Mem or Guest Mem performance stats.  They all show "0".

Screen shot attached.

We've tried restarting the management services.  We've also rebooted the hosts.  No luck.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

We have an all V 5.1 with three hosts.  None of the hosts were ever on any version but 5.1.  Currently they are all build 799733. We have only one host that experiences this problem.  restarting the management services does fix the problem, but in time, the issue returns. Also using HP hardware and HP image.

Hi all,

I too faced with the same issue but once i restarted the management agents on the host it go resolved.

I had both 5.1 and 5.5, in both the environments restarting the managements services resolved the issue for me..

I have recently seen this issue on 5.5 as well. The fix would be to restart vpxa and hostd service, Or just reboot the server.

Thanks!
