vCenter 5.0 and Windows Server 2012 Guest - mouse cursor problem in console

Hi Community,

We're noticing that the mouse cursor on Windows Server 2012 VMs when working in the Console doesn't work right. Even with VMware Tools installed.

Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

Hello Mike,

yep I have seen this problem is this VM a convertered VM..?

Try the following.

1. uninstall and re-install the VMware tools on the Guest OS.

If still problem

Go to the hardware manager and check to see what (if any) mouse is installed.

2. if you see "Standard PS/2 mouse", then delete it and replace with the "vmmouse.inf"

if both do not work, then try and RDP into guest and see if the mouse responds better or still the same problem.
