Hello, I got vCenter 4 installed and working under Windows 2003.
I later renamed the server since it was the default random Microsoft name.
I'm able to login to vCenter and whatnot, however I noticed the "performance" tab that shows the new charting gets a "page cannot be displayed" message. If I look at the properties I can see its doing an . I temporarily got around this issue by adding the old server name to the hosts file. OK that works.
However, when I go to PlugIns, the vCenter Hardware Status and vCenter Service Status plugins say:
The following occurred while download the scriptplugin from : The remote name could not be resolved: 'oldservername'
Where in the settings and/or database do I go to fix this with the new server name? I suppose I could just rename the server back... but I don't really want to.
Any help would be appreciated!
There are several issue related to VC renaming.
Some XML file must be change manually.

Hi All..
Have just renamed the vCenter server and all seem to be working without having to modify anything appart from the server name. when you connect with the VI Client it comes up with the Certificate message again but thats no issue, then once into vCenter had to rename the vCenter and that know seems very happy. All performance graphs and VUM features work fine.
