I need to give someone the ablility to modify the network setting on a VM at the Resource Pool level. They are currently not able to change the device status of the Network adapter. I have given them full access to the Virtual machine, but that option is greyed out.

It seems to me that if I give them the "Assign network" privilege under network, that would give them rights to modify the hosts network settings.

Any ideas.

Personally I thought (off the top of my head) that if you went to the networks pane in the VI Client and granted a user the assign network permission to whatever networks the user was supposed to have access to, that user should be able to modify and set that network to any VM that it has privileges to modify.
