we use this interface for automated installation, configuration and troubleshooting
Almost every function this is used for is not available in a public API
e.g. syslog file size and rotation schedules, setting SSH ciphers and SSO identify sources, joining AD
the warning makes our cyber team wary of our use and dependency on it
