uptime counter reseted after migration with vmotion

Hi everybody, when I migrate a vm with vmotion, the counter "uptime" is reset to zero.

Is it possible to avoid this ? Because I wish to have the uptime since the real startup of my vm.

Regards.

No, uptime from within VC will always report as uptime on a particular ESX host.

Correct, when I first joined the forum I remembered a thread from someone who wanted to check if everybody experienced the resetting of the "uptime" counter. This is by design I guess.

Alternately you can use other programs to check the uptime from within the host itself.
