I have installed updatde manager on a Vmware vc 2.5 / esx 3.5
it works find I downloaded all patches, performed scans on esx and remediation . every thing is ok
but!
the customer want to work an other way
they want to validate theire own list of updates and fill manualy the repository folder
we changed the kikstart files for all new esx to be updated when it is created
so we need to have a repository with only the authorized patchs
my first question is how can I reset the update manager repository list in database cause only deleting patchs in the repository folder does not initialise the repository list in VI
second question how can we add manually or by script new updates in the folder for them to be applied for scan and remediation?
