Exactly as the title says. We had a vm go rogure and inaccessible. It had a lcoked file. I found the host with the locked file and did a force power off of the vm. After that the vm now shows as "unknown 1 - configuration file cannot be found." I remove this from inventory but within 5 seconds it pops back in. I've removed it 10 times and every time it comes back in. I have the actual .vmx file and when I try to add to inventory it says it's already there (because of the unknown vm).
Any ideas?
Edit / Update: I waited abotu 15 minutes, tried the remove from inventory again and this time it did not come back. I don't know if there was something else holding the file, or if it just needed time to "register" the fact that it was gone. I added the real .vmx file back to inventory and the server is back up!
