simultaneous host and dataspace migration not available

sine today only one option at a time (host or dataspace migration) is available,

the checkpoint for both together is grey and not available.

any idea??

the nic(s) at one clusterside was broken for a few seconds, anything to do with that?

are you referring to vCenter?  I assume you are, because this is the only product that allow for vMotion and Storage vMotion.  You canot move both host and datastore live, you have to power down the guest in order to do that.  However you can vMotion to another host, then sVMotion to another datastore after.

but u r wrong, till yesterday i was able to do both at a time.

why should the option exist if you are not able to do that?

I'm not wrong, you cannot do both host and datastore, while the VM is running.  You can do it while the VM is powered off, only.

talked to vmware-support yesterday:

its a known problem.

sometimes it may work, but its not a feature and its unsupported. (IS IT A BUG???)

a lot of custumers have the same problem....

..maybe it will work again in a forthcoming version
