show all vms per host in a cluster

Hi,

I just created a cluster because we needed Enhanced Vmotion Compatibilty. We are not using DRS and/or HA (yet).

In my vi client I see all the vms in the cluster in one long list Before having a cluster, I saw the vms all underneath the host they were running on.

I would like to have the same view again, so that I can see on which host a vm is currently running.

How can I accomplish this. I searched through the docs ans posts but cannot find the answer.

Regards,

Mark

When you click cluster, there is "virtual machines" tab on the right pane and from column "host" you can see each VM running on which host.

Hi,

You cannot change that view when you create a Cluster. You can click over a host and go to "Virtual Machines" tab, where you can see the VMs which are running over that host.

You also can organize the VMs by using Resource Pools, but you have to enable DRS in order to use that feature.
