shared storage with NFS

Hi...

We have 2 EXSI 5.0 hosts whth cluser HA enable(server1 , and server2) . and we need to add the NFS as a shard storage.

How do i add this NFS location as common storage .

because when i try to add NFS as ->

select Exsi server1  host ->Go to configuration -> click storage and then add NFS by selecting NAS.  (Gave storage name as "CommonNFS")

but this process only add NFS to server1  host ,

then i followed same process to my server2 EXSI host ,

then it asked to changed the  "CommonNFS" name because its already exsists .....

How do we  add this  NFS as a Common Storage Location.....

Thank You

Dhanushka

It might do that if the NFS export path is not specified identical on both hosts.... /vol/new_datastore is not identical to /vol/new_datastore/

Ok.. Just wanted to make sure that this wasn't the issue..

How do you mount them....? By NAS IP address or NAS name? This of course needs to be 100% identical to...

Hi parakrama55

Welcome to the community .

Could you please share below two files ?

/var/log/vmkernel (ESX) or /var/log/messages (ESXi) log files.

"He Conquers, Who Conquers Himself".
