I had to scrap a vcenter (in its own site) and redeploy.
when I deployed the new appliance, it still sees the old site name. How do I remove this or where is this configured?
I would guess you are using an external Platform Services Controller to connect with the vCenter Server?
The only possibility is to decommission the PSC where the SSO site name is used and reconnect the vCenter Server to a different PSC.
