"Pinning" a VM to a specific esx host

I want to "pin" a server to 1 particular esx host so DRS does not migrate it but HA does.

Is this possible?

Just go into the properties of DRS on your cluster. Find the VM listed under VM Options, and set the Automation Level to Manual.

Could you please elaborate what exactly are you looking for ?

You want to stop the VM to migrate on another Host after enabling DRS and HA , Is that what you mean ?

Well, If this is the case then we can stop the VM to not to migrate , Please let me know if I understand you r query well or not and then I will paste you the steps to do.

Thanks

I want to pin it to a specific Host so DRS wont move it

But if the server fails HA will move it to a host that works
