When I view the performance chart for CPU usage of an ESX host it shows me data for each CPU (object names are 0, 1, 2, etc. for each CPU). It also shows me an additional item with an object name = server name. It seems like if I have one or two VMs the CPU % for this extra data stream is the average of all my CPUs which seems to make sense.
I found however that if I have a host with a larger number of VMs the CPU % is much greater than the average of all the CPUs.
What exactly is this CPU % representing?
