nfs datastore

I have added nfs datastore on my VC with ESX 3.0.2 server. When I try to create a VM in that datastore it gives the error as "Unabe to access file". I created this Datastore by selecting Add Storage and then Network File System.

Both the directories are given with all permssions. Can you pls help me in resolving this?

Where is your NFS server? Have you exported it to allow "root access" or "root squash" (whatever your nfs server called it)? Try to mount the directory from other machine as root and see if you can touch a file.

I tried creating a file in the nfs mount, it says Permission denied. I checked the permission for the directories and it is set as rwx. The paramater that I have given in exports file is rw, async, no_root_squash.

Please let me know how to fix the permssions. Thanx in advance
