Dear All,
I'd had a production VM with ESX 3.5 host and VCMS 2.5. All VM divided into 1 data center, 3 ha cluster and each cluster has 2 esx 3.5 host. License were centralized in VCMS 2.5.This VCMS is in Virtual Machine, not physical.
I would like to migrate to VCMS to new environment, a physical server.
Are there any concern about migrate ESX 3.5 host into the VCenter VSphere server ?
Do VM inside those host must powered off or maybe a restart needed after migrate ESX 3.5 host to VCenter VSphere (VM Downtime) ?
And how about ESX 3.5 license, Do they need migrate their license to new VCenter VSphere server?
Thanks for any comment/suggestion

No problem.
But remember to install a license server or point to the old one.

If you do not use EVC, you can simple reconnect the ESX to the new vCenter Server.

thanks..
