hardware status tab error

Using RTM ESX 4, vCenter 4 - when i click on the hardware status tab, I get an error stating 'do not have permission for this command'.

I am logged in with Administrator access.

This is a new install of ESX and vCenter.

Thanks

I've solved adding the FQDN of vCenter server to the Trusted Sites in browser configuration of the PC from which I run vsphere client.

As for me, the problem also came from IE7 ESC. Adding 127.0.0.1 to the Intranet zone in IE security tab was enough to fix the hardware status tab error in VCenter 4.

This happened to me and I believe it was because I changed the Windows server computer name after I'd installed VCenter.

I corrected mine by changing the host name specified in VirtualCenter.vimWebServicesUrlsetting

This setting is found in Administration>vCenter Server Settings>Advanced Settings

This was what fixed it for me:  http://communities.vmware.com/message/2036024#2036024

This KB article (while it doesn't exactly describe the error msg you and I both had) fixed it: http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1039180
